Making personalized ferret-themed cards is not only fun, it is a great project for fundraising. You can make them ahead of time for holidays and give sets of them as presents.

Following are some ideas for making ferret-themed cards. All of them can easily be changed to fit any mood or occasion. You are only limited by your own imagination.

Printed Ferret Cards

Printed ferret cards are easy to create. Once you have the card set up, you can print out as many as you want. You can even save the file and print out more at a later date, or e-mail the file to a friend so he or she can print ferret cards.

To start, you need a photo or some artwork and a software program that allows you to place the artwork on an 8.5 by 11 inch sheet of photo paper. Use photo paper because it is stiffer and more cardlike. It also has a finish that allows the colors to be bright and a gloss finish to give a professional look.

Here are two styles of what is called a 2-up, meaning it has two cards on each sheet of paper. This style (at left) produces a card that folds on the top. (Click image to enlarge.)

You can also print a larger picture that covers almost half the sheet of paper and it produces one card that is much larger. (Click image to enlarge.)

Fold the sheets of paper in half so that the paper measures 4.25 by 11 inches. (Click image to enlarge.)
