The Feisty Ferret Cage Cooler by Woodland Industries uses thermal convection principles to cool cages, thereby avoiding potentially unhealthy drafts being directed at the ferrets or other animals in the cage. It sits on top of the cage and the cold air is blown gently through the vent hole so that it naturally falls down into the cage. It should not be used inside the cage.
The Feisty Ferret Cage Cooler requires the use of a 2-liter pop bottle (not included), filled with water and frozen, or you can use freezer packs or bags of ice. You can have several bottles ready, too, so that you can simply exchange them. This model uses a 4-inch, UL-certified fan that plugs into a common household socket for power. The fan has a switch for turning it on and off. Purchasing a vehicle adapter from an electronics store allows you to use the cooler in your vehicle.
The cooler measures approximately 14 inches wide by 8 inches high by 6.5 inches deep. The door closes with a magnetic latch. Also included is a plastic drip tray, not shown in the picture.
