Does A Lonely Ferret Need A Ferret Friend?

If a ferret seems to be lonely, should an owner get another ferret?

Q: Is it good for a ferret to have a buddy? Like is it better to have two ferrets than one? Sometimes I think my ferret gets lonely.

A: I believe that two ferrets with similar levels of activity do very well together, and you will often see them play at all times of the day. This means they aren’t relying on you for attention and playtime. I get as much pleasure watching ferrets play together as I do playing with them myself.

My ferret seems lonely. But I can't get another ferret until my birthday. Cause my bf who I live with wont allow it. What is another way I should do to make her not lonely without getting a ferret.
