How many times were we told as children that there’s nothing to be scared of? That it’s just a shadow or the wind? Maybe you turned on the light and saw that the scary monster was actually a coat rack. The guinea pig in the video has the same fears. He’s all snuggled up and hears a noise. It frightens him. He sees something moving under the covers on his humans’ bed. Terrified, he asks the light be turned on. Then he sees the monster. It’s his friend, the pet dog. Realizing who it is, the intelligent guinea pig tries to instill upon the bed-frolicking creature the notion that "beds are for humans – as long as they’re not home; then you’re safe.” Wise advice, guinea pig. Wise advice. I wonder if he’ll warn his dog friend when the humans are home.
