The Giant Chinchilla rabbit breed was developed from the Flemish Giant and pure Chinchilla during World War I for its meat. Its has a powerful body with broad shoulders and hindquarters. Its coat is chinchilla-colored, a slate blue undercoat and long, white guard hairs with black ticking.
