In a nod to the rising popularity of ferrets as pets, the British Veterinary Association’s Animal Welfare Foundation released a practical guide, Caring For Your Ferret, early this year. The guide aims to help ferret owners better care for their pets, and it covers the basics of care, including housing, feeding, health care, ferret-proofing and more. It can be downloaded for free here.
The Animal Welfare Foundation began in 1984 and seeks to improve the welfare of animals using a variety of projects and activities, including the production of educational materials.
