Not Dog, Not Cat, But Ferret!

Yes, there are differences between caring for pet ferrets and caring for more common house pets.

Ferret care differs from cat or dog care

Cats and dogs rank No. 1 and No. 2 in companion-pet popularity, and because these pets are so common, most animal lovers have a good idea of what’s involved in their care. But with ferrets, it’s a different story. You can’t just assume that looking after a ferret will be the same as looking after a dog or a cat, even though you might be told that ferret care is just like cat care.

Although there are several similarities in caring for dogs, cats and ferrets, there are quite a number of differences, too. And you must know what these differences are before making a ferret part of your family.
