Q: For newborn mice, for how many days do they stay in the hopper/popcorn stage?
A: When dealing with baby mice, always remember that in the wild almost everything wants to eat them. The result is that the mice hop and jump like popcorn when anything other than their mother touches them. With patient and careful handling this response gradually disappears and should be gone completely by the time they are 3 to 4 weeks old.
