Very interesting what your mom did to treat you guys! I dont have ferrets right now - but had 9 total in the past. Yes, adreal was common. I used raw honey but this implant sounds worth checking into!

For any ferret this may help re: adrenal disease
My sister Lydia and i were experiencing and manifesting symptoms of adrenal disease only three months ago. Lydia had already undergone surgery to remove her left adrenal gland, but symptoms returned less than six months after her surgery. Mom was prayerfully considering treatment options and made an appointment with an exotic specialist recommended by our vet. The great discovery for us was the placement of an implant of suprelorin that acts to balance our hormones and thus greatly optimize our health and quality of life. We are both asymptomatic :) May be worth investigation and consideration for your fur loves. The implant lasts about 18 months and ours were $150.00.
