Being bullied! My mom and dad were left at an animal shelter. A kind rescue group took them in, only to discover mom was pregnant! I was born, and dad decided he didn't like me. He bit me and even tore off half of my tail! The rescue knew a human who had rescued degus before and gave her a call to see if I could be introduced into her colony. It was great! I was neutered and her girl degus welcomed me immediately into their group. I was so happy, I snuggled with them nonstop for days! We "talk" in our chirpy wheeky way all day long now.
