I am sorry to say that we had to put Kiki to sleep today. she had a tumor that was growing rapidly and an abcess that was not going away. she didnt go alone, her cagemate, Spooky went to heaven with her. we are sad, but we gave her the best rat life we could. we miss you lil Hudini. well ive been sick for a while with my tumors and absess. mom & dad are taking me and my sister spooky to the vet and they said we are going to heaven. they said they are going to miss us very very much and mom wont stop crying. I cant jump too well and its hard for me to play and get around. and i hurt too.Mom said i'll be able to see my brother snoopy who passed away a year ago. Hi Kiki!
What a beautiful rat! I have 2 rats (and have had many others in the past) and a gerbil and 2 rabbits. I read your blogs about the abscesses and tumors and am so sorry. The only downside about loving rats is the mammary tumors. I have lost most of my rats to these (a few to pneumonia). Even when we have had the tumors surgically removed, they have always grown back. But while they are with us, they are the sweetest little pets. Left a vote for beautiful Kiki!Come visit me, Pippin, Piper, Spawn, Soren & Emerson.

my absess came back
well mom took me and my sister spooky to the vet agian cuz my abbsess came back,, and this time it was big!! mom said there was about a 1/4 cup drained,, but i get more of that antibiotic i love so much!! yummy.. but im sad for my sister spooky she has a tumor and its gonna make her real sick and die,, mom was crying really bad lastnight cuz she's gonna miss her when she's gone,, and so will i..

A New Sister!

i was sick
My mommy noticed a lump by my back left leg, near my belly,, and she was worried so she took me to the vet. i was so scared and so was my mommy, she was crying, anyway the doc took a look at me and then took me back and then he took this huge needle and poke me where the lump was ,, i squeeked so loud!!. anyway the doc said it wasnt a tumor! YAY!! it was just a absess, so he upened the absess up and drained it,, then gave me some antibiotics to take for 10 day and it tastes sooo good yummo!The vet also said i had some "crackling" in my lungs and determind that im an old rat. :( and i have about a year or so to live. I know my mommy & Daddy will take good care of me they love me very very much. and they give me yummy treats and have a HUGE cage to live in with my 3 sisters and 2 brothers. im the fattest rat in the cage (almost 1 pound) but i know my lil bros will surpass me in growth,, Loki is getting bigger & bigger!! anyway,, im feeling alot better now that the big lump is gone,, and im back to my ols goofy loving self!!!Come visit me, Spooky R.I.P. 1/15/13, Luna, Kiki R.I.P. 1/15/13, Alice & Loki R.I.P. 2/16/13.

COOOL a clean cage!
My dad cleaned my cage lastnight,, he always makes it different every other week so we can have a varity! when my mom was playing with me and my sisters i escaped 4 times off the chair,, im sooo sneaky and quick about it,, i do it when they are busy with my sisters (hee hee)Come visit me, Spooky R.I.P. 1/15/13, Luna, Kiki R.I.P. 1/15/13, Alice & Loki R.I.P. 2/16/13.
