RIP Humphrey, April 27 '10 - July 19 '11
Humphrey died. She is now an angel and we miss her terribly, her memory will live on forever in my heart.
We don't know exactly when she died because I'd been feeding her but she hadn't come out. Last night when I was on my iPod at about 1:00 I notices a bad smell, but I was tired so I went to bed. This morning I checked and she was dead.
She died at 1 year and almost 3 months.
I have no immediate plans for gtting another hamster. I miss Humphrey too much.

My Brother Tobi's COTM Blog
March 12th and Day 12 of my COTM run. I am so moved by all the support and votes everyone has given me. I can hardly believe it! Today I am going to be focusing on Canine and Feline species native to the park. My next goal: 2,000 votes by July, 2011. That will be pretty hard, since it has taken me more than a year to get 1,000, but I have faith in all my pawesome furiends!

CANINE SPECIES
•The grey wolf (Canis Lupis) is the largest of all canine species
•The buffalo wolf, now extinct, was at least four feet at the shoulder. They are thought to be hunted out by Pioneers, but no one knows for sure what happened.
•On average, a female wolf will give birth to 4-7 pups. The gestation is approximately 63 days
•Legal Status and Protection: Endangered Species Act: Wolves throughout the Lower 48 United States are listed as endangered except in Minnesota where they are listed as threatened. In Alaska, wolves are not listed under the ESA.
COUGARS
•Amazingly, the cougar (Puma Concolor) can jump as high as 15 feet and as far as 40 feet. (WOW!)
•Cougars can be almost as large as jaguars, but are not as muscular and broad
•There are an estimated 30,000 cougars in the Western US. One of their subspecies, the Florida Panther, has less than 100 individuals.
•Cougars will eat larger mammals such as dear, and smaller mammals such as rabbits/hares, porcupines, and even beavers!

March 6th and Day 6 of my COTM run. Has it really been six days already?!?! I am enjoying my COTM run so much, and I really do appreciate all the doggies that are coming over and voting. I do have one prayer request - please pray for Angel Draco and his mommy. He passed away last night or this morning. So sorry, buddy.
