Yes, I do like to play in the snow and at the beach. It's lots of fun!! I don't mind being on a leash, but I like being loose more because I can hop as fast as I want to without having to worry about tangling mom up. he,he....
Mom lets us loose outside. We don't run away, because we are bonded to mom. To be safe, we wear collars and stay on leash when we go to the city though. Mom has had several rabbits and none of them have minded wearing a collar. So Mom didn't really have to 'train' us. Walking a rabbit is very different than walking a dog though. You go where the bunny wants to go! he,he. In certain situations, being on a leash is much safer than being loose. Be sure to NOT use thin leashes, such as the cord in mini flexis. They can get badly tangled around rabbit's legs and send them into panic run mode. You want to use a light-weight wide leash with a light-weight clip that attaches to the collar. Mom doesn't like the kind for sale that are made for rabbits, because they are too short. So we suggest buying a long piece of nylon and making one yourself (many different colors of and widths of nylon are available online and at horse supply stores).
In some of our photos, you may see a cord leash. We have had some scary incidences when using these and have since switched to wider leashes.
We recommend collars over harnesses. The harnesses have always given us trouble because the rabbit gets a foot stuck in the loop that goes around their head. The collars, on the other hand, have always worked perfectly. We use ones made for tiny dogs.
Once you have your supplies, don't be afraid to experiment and try new things with your bunny. Remember each rabbit will react differently to new situations.
Try to prevent sudden jerks on the leash by keeping up with your rabbit's pace. Be ready for sudden darts (which usually don't cover much distance).
If your rabbit likes treats, give him one as a reward for accepting the collar/harness. This will help to keep it "paws"itive. Good luck and we wish you many fun adventures together! :)

Are either of the cute bunnies in the photo spayed/neutered? Mom's trying to find out as much as she can about fixing bunnies because we have some boys that we'd like to live together, but they fight. You both look very content :) If you get back to us, we'd really appreciate it. Here's a vote!
