Marty Hull was born in California and practiced dentistry until 1991, when he was disabled from dentistry. In 1989, he developed some inventions and started a business based on the inventions in 1991. He’s been a full-time inventor ever since and holds nine U.S. patents for his inventions.
Most of Hull’s inventions are related to competitive swimming. He was a competitive swimmer in high school, during college and then for about 15 years in adult Masters swimming. In 2001, Hull invented the Flying Saucer Exercise Wheel, a safe, effective exercise wheel for chinchillas, hedgehogs, skunks, prairie dogs and other small animals. He also developed a vitamin/probiotic chinchilla supplement that promotes chinchilla health.
Hull is a graduate of Stanford University and the University of Pacific School of Dentistry. Dental school provided Hull with an excellent background in anatomy, physiology, pharmacology and materials science. Continuing research and study have allowed him to apply much of this knowledge to areas outside dentistry.
Hull has been breeding and caring for chinchillas for 20+ years. He’s currently based in Washington State and has a herd of chinchillas, one bunny, one guinea pig, two poodles, three llamas, seven geese, 22 Muscovy ducks, a couple tractors and an excavator.
