IN LOVING MEMORY OF MISS MADISON....... Today I'm bringing some very sad news. Another fuzzy alien Miss Madison, crossed the Rainbow Bridge this afternoon. In May of this year, I also lost Miss Mazy Mae who was 6 years old. Miss Madison was 7 years old. They say that a ferret's life expectancy is between 6 to 10 years, but more 6 than 10. I was introduced to my first ferret back in 2001 and instantly fell in love with this beautiful, very smart, exotic, and precious animal. You could say it became an addiction to me. I soon found myself doing what they call the "ferret math" meaning first I had1, then came 2, then 3, then 4, until at one point I had 7 all together. Do you know what they call a group of ferrets? They call it a "business of ferrets." I can see why. They are little busy bodies doing what they do best, and that's making you smile and stealing your heart. My ferrets names were Ozzy, Niko, Joey, Sydney, the M&M Girls Miss Madison & Miss Mazy, and then finally Buxi who I still have. Buxi is 5 years old. Each and everyone of those little fuzzies brought me so much joy and laughter with their unique little personalities and weasel war dances. As you may know, I also belong to the SAC. I've made profiles for all of my angels on there. Now you might understand a little better about the phrase "ferret math." My heart is still hurting, so please bare with me for the next few days until I get my senses back in order. If you could please go to the SAC though, look at all of my sweet babies profiles, and you will see how very much they were and still are loved. The profile numbers are #81714, #76804, #72245. I believe they will put a smile on your face just as they have mine and always will. I love and miss you my sweet Miss Madison with all of my heart...~LUV~ Angel Ozzy & Mom Pammy ~THE LOSS OF A FERRET~ If you've every known the welcome of a funny, fuzzy friend, that brings a ray of sunshine when the day draws to an end. If you've ever hugged a ferret close to share a tear or two, or maybe just a whiskered kiss to lift you when you're blue. If you've ever felt the wrenching pain that only death can send, then losing a sweet ferret is like losing a dear friend. But God is good and treasures love and there at Heaven's gate, that funny face and joyful dance, your precious ferret waits..... ~Author Unknown~ |
